The Finance Associate Leadership Program (FALP) attracts, develops, challenges, and retains a highly skilled and diverse team of finance leaders who drive meaningful change and deliver extraordinary results for JPMorgan Chase. The Summer Finance Associate Leadership Program is the primary pipeline for our full-time rotational program, and summer associates have the opportunity to work as integral members of a Finance team during this ten week internship. Summer associates work closely with experienced senior managers, enjoy diverse project assignments and have the chance to make real contributions to business decisions. This is an ideal way to meet the people who make our company a success, to experience our unique culture and learn about full-time opportunities.
As a Summer Associate, you will work on key projects that enhance your understanding of finance, and may work in functional areas such as: strategy; financial control; planning and analysis; and assessing and managing risk. Summer associates are assigned a senior mentor who is available to discuss your career strategies and provide advice. Additionally, you will also work with a peer mentor, an experienced Finance associate, who is available to guide and support you during your internship. Through a series of breakfast and lunch meetings you learn corporate strategic challenges from members of JPMorgan Chase’s senior finance management team, and participate in various team building activities through out New York.
Summer associates are placed in a line of business and/or corporate group in the New York Metropolitan Area. These locations will include midtown and downtown Manhattan, as well as Newport, New Jersey. The summer assignments are in major business groups (Investment Bank, Asset Management, Retail Financial Services, Commercial Banking and Treasury & Securities Services), as well as in Corporate Planning and Analysis, Controllers, Treasury, and Investor Relations. Our finance teams play an essential role in every aspect of their business, and combine a well-developed performance measurement process with sophisticated economic capital measurement. The result is exceptional financial discipline throughout our firm.
